At our school, we have the vision that all students will soar as lifelong learners in a diverse and global society. Our mission is to increase achievement by focusing on students' academic, social, and emotional growth through rigorous instruction, while fostering a collaborative learning community to ensure all students unlock their limitless potential.
I am a first year K-5 grade science teacher at a Title I school and most of my students come from low-income families.
Despite any difficulties outside of school, my students are all excited to learn and to see what this new year has to offer. They love to be engaged and really enjoy colorful, rich content in the classroom. My students love to create and utilize anchor charts that aid in their learning of science concepts.
My student's will persevere and be inspired every day. I will ensure that I provide them with all the necessary tools to excel and to never give up!
My Project
In my science class we pride ourselves in making sure that our classroom is safe, inviting, as well as enriching. We love to make anchor charts but we must follow the safety measures -wearing rubber gloves- when writing that aid the students in science skills they are learning. With the assistance from my students, I make these charts so students can look around the room and always be able to locate and utilize the information they may need. As a new teacher of science, my goal is to ensure that my classroom is a place in which students practice safety and will excel in everything they do. I believe that this starts with making sure that the classroom can be navigated with all of the necessary tools.
