Supplies for Cultural Art Projects

Help me give my students supplies needed to create art related to holidays celebrated in the hispanic culture (día de los muertos, las posadas, el día de los reyes, etc.). Examples are papel picado and color caleveras.

My Project

We learn the Spanish language and also learn about hispanic culture in my classes. Cultural lessons are embedded throughout the lessons. Art is one cultural piece that is easier to bring into a classroom.

There are many arts and crafts we can do in class.

Some examples are making papel picado (scissors, tissue paper and tape) and hang throughout the classroom similar to what you might see at celebrations in some hispanic countries. We also would like to make tissue flowers (marigolds) which are important in the día de los muertos celebrations. Another project we do is color caleveras with bright colors and cut and hang (markers).
