Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students who I've had while student teaching, and when I took over a classroom mid-year have all been extremely creative, curious, and loving. While at recess, my students love to show me their handshakes, new dances they've created, and even sing me songs. Not a boring day goes by with my students and they always keep me on my toes.

My students deserve to have a classroom that runs smoothly and that is consistent because for some of them, school is the most consistent thing in their lives.

I am looking forward to meeting my new group of students and having some of my return students as I am moving up a grade with them!

My Project

As a first year teacher who took over a classroom mid-year last school year, I am preparing my classroom to start off the year in a positive way with this project!

These materials and supplies will be used in many different ways throughout our classroom to make each day run smoothly!

Storage containers will be used so we can be organized and have more time for learning. Study Carrels will be a tool used during tests to protect our answers and make sure I collect the correct data from my students. File folders will be used to organize data collected on my students. Wiggle seats and fidget toys will be used as needed for students who need a little extra support. Cleaning supplies will be used to help keep our classroom clean as well as to help prevent us from getting sick. Carpet markers will help us know the correct place to sit on the carpet during morning meetings.

The books will be used during morning meetings and to help expand a first year teacher's classroom library!
