This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With the lack of supplies for students with disabilities, my students will benefit from having essential tools for supporting their learning, communication, and sensory needs. Notebooks and folders will be used to create visual supports, such as visual schedules, social stories, and communication boards.
Using glue and engaging in arts and crafts activities with other materials can improve their fine motor skills.
Most students in my class have sensory processing difficulties. Engaging in hands-on activities like glue and paper can help them regulate their sensory input and improve their sensory integration skills.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
