My Project

Every day, high school students face various mental challenges. Sometimes, the smallest thing can cause a student to lose focus.

I want to create a classroom where students feel welcome, relaxed, and focused.

For this project, I would like to provide students with water, cups, Kleenex, pencils, erasers, whiteboard markers, whiteboard erasers, disinfecting wipes, glue sticks, and snacks. These supplies will help create an ideal classroom for learning.

Classroom supplies from my last DonorsChoose project—including water, puzzles, journals, stickers, and Kleenex—made a significant difference in students' behavior and learning. The students' favorite items were water and Kleenex. They expressed that having bottled water helped reduce their anxiety, refresh their minds, and refocus on math. They also appreciate having access to Kleenex.

I have installed vertical whiteboards (along with one smartboard) around the classroom so students can practice their math and communication skills collaboratively in small groups of two to three. My students love working together during whiteboard activities. I admire their positive attitude and am always amazed by how well they collaborate and how productive they are.

This project will provide students with essential learning tools to enhance their learning experience—making it more enjoyable, interactive, and engaging.

We will use these supplies in Integrated Mathematics II and AP Calculus classes.
