After eight years in the ELA classroom, I am very excited to be moving into a new role as a reading interventionist! The purpose of a reading interventionist is to support students who are identified as Tier 2 and provide targeted small group instruction to help improve their reading ability and decrease the gaps that keep them from meeting grade level goals in the classroom.
I will be supporting grades K-5 and will be providing small group lessons based around the Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham techniques.
These workbooks will provide additional practice for my students and the decodables will give them an opportunity to practice the reading skills we have covered. These materials are not common for the general education classroom and are not provided to interventionists, which is why I am asking for assistance in gathering these materials.
