My project needs 5 memory drives so each row in the lab can have their own drive to save their work. The digital camera will enhance their work as they import live pictures to their projects of themselves. The classes can also take the camera on trips and then use the pictures taken to create PowerPoint presentations of the experiences.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. C.'s classroom raised $913

I work at a K-5 ethnically diverse school in a low socioeconomic area. The school has 85% free lunch. Our mission is enabling the students to become independent, responsible, self confident people. The children's exposure to computers takes place in the lab as most of them do not have computers at home. Our classrooms have computers but as they age they breakdown beyond repair. The lab is also available to classes not covered in the schedule during open periods. Individual children needing computer time are fit in when possible.
Previously work has been saved on floppy discs which is not always reliable, then their work is lost.
By saving on memory sticks they could return each time to their projects and transfer them to floppy disc for personal saving. Pictures speak for themselves and memories of shared times enhance the students writings as they build on memories and learn how to import pictures. Computers are here to stay and a good computer base will help the students advance in the future.
