My Students

I teach a wonderfully diverse group of students that come from many different backgrounds. Teaching at a Title 1 school, most of my students are from lower socio-economic households. Despite my students lack of wealth they all come to school with a fun positive attitude and enjoy my class. Still many students come without basic school supplies.

My students are inquisitive, welcoming and eager.

They are eager to learn and experience new things. While in my class they learn via a myriad of strategies in order tap into the interests of each learner.

My Project

With all of the students coming back to school after 5 quarters of distance learning the classroom has many needs. The students are filled with anxiety after so long away from school and friends.

Help my classroom feel more comfortable to reduce that anxiety and make the transition a smooth one back after so long away.

In addition to games and some much needed supplies for students whose families cannot afford them this project funds items that will make students feel at home in the classroom. As a teacher it is my job to create a welcoming environment.
