My students need 28 weekly readers (with a science spin)to reinforce language arts, social students and science concepts.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Jones's classroom raised $187

My Students
The Weekly Readers with a Science Spin fills the gap and promotes science and social studies concepts. A lot of times tested curriculum is pushed more and these concepts are not emphasized. Weekly Readers are a fun way for students to learn about current events and now reinforce science concepts.
I teach in a small town located in North Carolina.
The population is diverse with several different cultures which include African Americans, Caucasian, Hispanic, and Asians. Meeting the needs of all learners is a challenge, however it can be done with Weekly Readers.
My Project
From the cover to the back, Weekly Readers include vivid pictures and interesting articles that a first grader can understand. It also includes questions and activities that reinforce all skills. These articles are a great way to teach not only language arts, but also science and social studies skills.
Thank you so much for considering our project.
Funding this project would enhance all student learning no matter what nationality. Students are also able to take these articles home and work with parents enhancing parent involvement. As you can see Weekly Readers are a great way to enhance student learning and develop communication in the classroom and at home.
