SuperSonic Hydroponics

My Project

I love my 5th grade kiddos! I teach math and science to two classes. They love doing hands-on science because it is so much more engaging than just reading a textbook and listening to boring lectures.

We were fortunate enough to be awarded a commercial hydroponic system for our classroom and are using it to learn about how matter cycles throughout ecosystems, photosynthesis, and how the sun is the source of all energy in our planet.

We still use textbooks, and we still have lessons with videos and Powerpoint presentations given by me, but then we actually apply what we learn with real life science experiences.

We need consumable supplies to keep our garden growing after we harvest and replant our system.
