My Project
I'm requesting trifold boards and headers for our Science Fair projects. Every year, our 7th and 8th grade Advanced Science students participate in a Science Fair. We begin our projects in September, and work on them until our school Science Fair in February. About half of the students advance to the Regional Science Fair in March.
Our students work incredibly hard on their projects, doing intense background research, running many trials of their experiment to ensure their data is accurate, and writing thorough lab reports.
Part of their project is the presentation. Students must create a project board showing a visual presentation of their project. Many of my students are low income, and can't afford to buy project boards and headers themselves. Our local stores also don't sell fun colors of boards, only black and white. These boards will be used to create a visual for my students to present their projects at both the local and Regional Science Fairs. This will help my students to create professional presentations and increase their confidence, as well as their chances of winning awards and advancing in the competition.
