Superhero Literacy Night

Help me give my students a cape, as well as to their parent(s) so that they will have fun dressed up as heroes while completing engaging reading activities together during literacy night.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Extrinsic motivation is needed in order to influence positive change or behavior. This is true at any age!

I want parents and students to feel as heroes working together for a cause that benefits all.

The capes ordered are for team spirit building during Literacy Night at my school. Parents, with their child, will go from a literacy station to another completing literacy tasks while wearing their capes. Everyone involved will display heroism because literacy is what brings about change.

Moreover, I want this moment to be memorable. The cape is a souvenir that reminds all of those involved on the importance of working together for desired outcomes. Needless to say, it is also a reminder that work can be made into an engaging and fun experience.
