Super Vocabulary Cards to the Rescue

My students need vocabulary cards to practice their listening, reading, speaking and writing skills.

My Students

My students need help unlocking the English language.

My ESOL students come from a variety of different backgrounds.

They are learning English as a second (or third) language. Most of them qualify for free/reduced lunch. They are excited to learn but often face challenges when they encounter new vocabulary words.

My Project

My students will use these Super Duper vocabulary cards in a variety of ways. They will play matching and sorting games with the Core Curriculum Vocabulary Cards. They will use the Sequencing cards to practice speaking and writing skills as they describe what is happening in the pictures. The Ask and Answer Question cards will allow them to practice reading basic question words, listen to questions being asked and formulate appropriate responses.

Donations to this project will make a lasting positive impact for my ESOL students.

These Super Duper cards will allow them to practice new vocabulary words and language concepts in a fun and engaging manner. This will help them to better understand the challenging vocabulary presented to them throughout the school day and in their everyday life.
