My Students
My students are kind, creative, diverse, and so excited to learn! In my classroom, we value social action and getting things done. We're also super funny and tell a lot of dad jokes. We're cool.
My students want to DO something, not just believe in something.
My students feel that it is important to listen to the voice inside of them, which almost always leads to the pursuit of action.
My Project
Reading and science go hand-in-hand. Storyworks Magazine allows me to supplement my reading lessons with engaging stories and other activities that help students thrive. In my class, students are taught to dissect and analyze texts to find evidence. Storyworks Magazine gives my students the opportunity to practice these important critical thinking skills.
Science tells us that strong readers become future leaders.
Science Spin Magazine provides captivating articles that focus on science and engineering ideas, concepts, and practices. When I teach science, I want students to feel empowered to think outside the box and create solutions for the next generation's scientific issues.
By using Storyworks and Science Spin, I can ensure that my students will gain essential reading and critical thinking skills.
