My students need an ipad in order to integrate technology into our gifted reading classroom. I also asked for center activities such as clay and Reading Robots to keep the children engaged.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Can you imagine in this day and age a group of children who have never been able to complete a project with technology?
My students are an amazing group of children.
They are inner city children who are gifted. I have 1st through 5th graders who come to me daily for reading, language arts, and social studies. They are so smart and creative, constantly coming up with ideas and projects they want to do.
My Project
These resources will improve my students lives in so many ways. The ipad will enable them to keep up with the world and students that have benefits that they will never have. I also picked some games and arts and craft supplies that they can use independently in order to keep them active and engaged in the classroom.
I believe that learning should be fun.
Some of these children go home to situations that we could not even imagine. Out of my class of 28 only 10 have computers at home that work and none have an ipad. These supplies would enable them to do projects and take field trips to places around the world without having to leave the classroom. We would be able to visit the Met or take a virtual field trip to Egypt without leaving the room.
