This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students need STEM and STEAM supplies. To continue working differently on projects. Unfortunately, it is difficult to afford STEM materials and supplies. A donation of supplies will allow us to work on more STEAM projects throughout the year. STEAM projects are attractive to students. For some projects, students need to work collaboratively and others individually. Students work on engineering projects and models during science class, and I integrate projects in language arts and math. One of our favorite projects is creating a bridge while reading "Solar System." Students investigate and integrate different designs and create a small solar model. These projects keep students immersed in reading, research, writing, and teamwork.
I have super scientists, fantastic technicians, energetic engineers, amazing artists and magnificent mathematicians!
Students write, plan, create, draw, label, collect data, and reflect. STEAM projects challenge students to be creative, apply prior knowledge, investigate, build, reflect, and persevere. The new supplies will enhance your school day by allowing STEAM and STEM projects to continue.
