This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The beginning of a new school year can be stressful for many students. I would love to be able to ensure my incoming second graders have everything they need and more to be successful, as well as make them feel welcome and comfortable in their new classroom. Some items, such as the pencil sharpener cardstock, sentence strips and laminating sheets will help me prepare our room and create learning experiences throughout the year.

Many of the families at our school just aren't able to provide their children with the extras that can make school an enjoyable place to learn, so I wish to make that possible for my class.

They will love to see new colorful markers, dry erasers, Playdoh to use and a variety of snacks to fill their bellies. I can't wait to start to this year and make it a super success.
