Using the hands on math games, manipulatives, and dry erase boards, students will be able to have tactile math experiences and solve problems concretely which is crucial when learning the challenging math concepts of third grade.
These hands on activities also encourage students to find different strategies and utilize critical thinking skills for solving math problems.
The games selected reinforce literacy and math skills previously introduced while allowing for differentiation for individual students. These games also encourage social emotional skills such as teamwork, problem solving, oral communication, and taking turns.
