Super Spheros Pushing Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead!

My students need two Spheros for coding. Spheros are little robots that can be controlled by iPads.

My Students

My class consists of 26 accelerated “Thinkers and Learners” who are highly motivated and actively involved in their learning.

Attending a Title 1 school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch, my students do not allow their demographic situations to hinder their desire to learn. In fact, my awesome students set a goal to obtain eighty-five percent or higher in all subject areas.

I am so proud to have a role as their teacher and coach.

As a teacher, coach, and mentor, I continuously strive to prepare my future scholars to be College and Career ready. Providing countless opportunities will equip my students with skills needed to be successful.

My Project

I want to provide my students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge of Science through coding.

Having two Spheros in my classroom, will lend the opportunity for students to integrate Math and Science as they learn to program the Spheros to perform specific commands.

As students learn the basics of coding, they will be able to make a real world connection of how computer programmers design complex computers using coding. The benefits of having Spheros is the kinesthetic approach used to add excitement to inquiry based learning. Students will be activity engaged as they work together to collaborate, explore, question, plan, and execute their ideas. Most importantly, they will have fun learning!
