Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My student population consists of scholars that benefit from special education support services in the form of Speech and Language therapy.
These students receive additional support to help them navigate and achieve their academic potential.
Many of my students have faced challenges and deserve consistent and reliable support. Interactive and exciting materials can help my students experience success.
As an educator I dedicate my time to my students and strive to provide for them across the many levels of academic development.
My Project
I am asking for seven individual books including No, David!, The Colors Of Us, and Strega Nona; two ebooks including BASIC/Not Boring 4-5 Words & Vocabulary (eBook); and a Holiday Series Variety Pack of books.
These materials will help my students engage as active participants towards their Speech and Language goals.
Working in a public school setting as a related service provider, it is my responsibility to provide and develop materials that will excite students while working towards their academic Speech and Language goals. Materials such as high interest books and thematic holiday readings will further their knowledge while holding student interest. I am constantly on the hunt for materials that I can use with my students during sessions, as well as materials I can share with their families as partners in the learning process.
