Super Spanish Speaking Second Graders

My students need Spanish materials, including a bulletin board set for word reinforcement, CDs to listen to authentic Spanish speakers, letter cubes, a bingo game, flash cards and classroom charts.

This project is fully funded

We are from a small school in Southern Indiana where the students are rarely exposed to different languages. We want to expose them to basic Spanish vocabulary. We want them to understand the importance of learning a new language.

We currently have Spanish students from our local high school teaching our students Spanish for one hour a week. The budget of our school is focused on the basic subjects and Spanish materials are not included in this. These students are taught basic vocabulary with little resources. The Spanish class would be more beneficial and exciting for the students if they had the resources that I have asked for.

To keep the focus of the young students and provide the most beneficial lessons we need the materials I have asked for. They need vocabulary cards, bulletin board materials, and posters to give the students a visual image to remember with their vocabulary. They need CDs with authentic Spanish speaking people to reinforce the vocabulary they have learned from the high school students. They also need bingo to make learning the vocabulary fun.

Your help will ensure my students get the most out of their Spanish lessons. The United States is a growing country with many Spanish speaking citizens. My students need to become familiar with another language.
