This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a fifth grade class who is filled with exploration, a love of learning and a passion to try new things. My students are amazingly creative and they work hard each and every day! One of our most favorite times together is sharing our experiences and our hard work during our lessons. They have been amazing me with their writing and their scientific thinking, they truly inspire me each and everyday!

One of the best ways to learn is to model and share amazing work and inspired writing.

Students learn best when they can feel inspired to share their work and to see what their peers are doing.

My Project

To use a document camera in my class would mean that I could model my work and share students work with the class. Students could see up close and personal what others are doing around them and they can see what I am working on. Often times we write in our writers notebook and I want to share with them what I have written and what others have written.

A document camera would help make that authentic and an engaging experience for all.

Students would feel a sense of community and be able to share in the joy of hard work and applaud their peers for their effort.
