Super Sensory Playtime Explorers!

Help me give my students access to a variety of sensory inputs to experience throughout their day through sensory-based learning and playing.

My Project

Many of the students in my special education classroom frequently seek out different forms of sensory input. My students love toys that have different lights, sounds, and textures. Several of my students are working on accessing their environment by manipulating cause and effect toys that have different outcomes when interacted with. Sensory exploration is incredibly important for development, especially for students with disabilities. The different toys in this project will help my students with their play skills.

For example, the sit and spin toy is a great outlet for my students who need some extra movement in their day, especially with indoor recess coming up during the winter months.

Having the chance to explore objects with a variety of sensations is a great way for my students to explore their environment. The different toys will be used for sensory time and choice time for students to chose from a visual choice board and interact with all sorts of different objects.
