My Project

These stools not only will help during instructional time, but they will also help teach students responsibility. We currently use heavy concert chairs that the fourth and fifth-grade students set up for their music class. They do not stack very easily and are cumbersome to carry. These stools are lightweight, easy to stack, and take up less space in the classroom.

My goal is to continue teaching responsibility and safety in the classroom, through these lightweight stools.

By switching from chairs to stools, we will not only have more space in the Music classroom to move around, but we will also be able to use these chairs for extra seating during concerts for our audience and band and orchestra members.

My students are open to new ideas and change. They continue to surprise me every day with their energy and their willingness to try. I am confident that they will not only be excited about new seats but also relieved they no longer have to use the concert chairs for music class.
