This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school provides quality education for highly impacted students in the Alameda articulation area. The affect Covid had our kids was incomprehensible. Many of them were left alone so that parents could work, making it nearly impossible for them to focus on their learning. Not only that, but food insecurity was added to their long list of worries. My students were just 1st graders when the pandemic interrupted their school year. And because of that, the gaps in their learning are sobering. Please consider helping our students with flexible seating so that they can focus on being the great students that they are! We believe in each and every one of them! Please show them you believe in them, too!
