My Students
"Equipped with his five senses, man explores the universe around him and calls the adventure Science." ~Edwin Powell Hubble
I teach kindergarten in a high poverty area.
Most of my students did not attend preschool and many of them are learning English as a second language. Despite any obstacles they may have, they approach learning with pure enthusiasm!
We have an all-day program and I currently have nearly thirty students. Giving them hands-on opportunities has become quite a challenge as materials become more sparse and classes become larger.
My Project
I am requesting science centers, magnifiers, and discovery tubes for my students. These materials will provide countless opportunities for hands-on experiences with various science concepts such as the 5 senses, nutrition, life cycles, and weather. My students will get to explore science every day!
Your help will ensure that my students have daily hands-on experiences with science and scientific concepts and principles.
Thank you for supporting my classroom and my enthusiastic learners!
