My Students
We are a class eager to learn together and play together! Our community comes from a wide variety of backgrounds and needs. My class has a large number of students with disabilities and special needs including ESL, speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. These students, along with our regular education students who perform at or above grade level, create a unique learning environment.
My students are Pre-K students in a next-generation learning community.
We have a focus on learning through inquiry topics, as well as providing students with engaging questions to understand the bigger picture. Our school has a focus on multiage classes working together in next-generation learning communities.
My Project
My students have a natural curiosity when it comes to nature! They are always asking questions about things we find outside at recess and even pictures that we come across in books or online.
These materials will provide opportunities for them to take a closer look at animals and other things in nature.
Having an area in our room dedicated to science and exploring nature will be an awesome addition.
This new space will provide a spot in our classroom for students to bring in items they are curious about and explore further. It will also be enhanced by a previously funded DonorsChoose project-a light table!
