My students need science fair materials to help make science night an amazing showcase for both students and their families!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Big ideas can sometimes lead to big disappointment. Each year, our school celebrates students' work through a science fair; unfortunately, students sometimes are not happy with their work because their families simply couldn't afford the materials needed.
I work in a Title I school, which means 93% of our students qualify for free/reduced lunch.
Our students are at-risk for not graduating high school simply because of their parents economic situation. When our campus has special events such as the science fair, we do our best to help our kids with the materials they need, but unfortunately, sometimes there are just not enough supplies. In addition, due to their family's economic situation, it is difficult for them to help as well.
My Project
While the resources we are requesting are simple, they are very important. We are requesting the supplies and materials that will be needed for our students in grades 3-5 to participate fully in the Science Fair on our campus this year. These supplies will take the stress off of our students and our families by giving each child a display board, as well as access to art supplies and materials to enhance their display boards. Having these supplies available to our students will ensure more students participate in this invaluable learning experience!
This project will impact all of our students in grades 3-5 (approximately 350 students), as well as their families.
It will provide each child the tools they will need to display their science experiments for all of our community to see!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
