This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine trying to cook without any utensils or mow the grass without a lawn mower. My students feel this way when we try to conduct science experiments and activities with no tools.
I teach 18 eager to learn first graders in a low income area of Virginia.
We have a very limited amount of science materials available in my school. My students absolutely love doing science experiments and discovering new things, however they are lacking the appropriate tools.
My Project
The science tools will allow my students to be able to take their love of discovering new things in science to a new level. They will be able to magnify, measure, and weigh things with hands on materials. This will allow my students to visually see the outcomes of their experiments.
