Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in my classroom come from a low income neighborhood where they do not have many opportunities to engage in science and STEM related activities at home. My hope is that I am able to use these science and STEM learning centers to promote of culture of collaboration and creativity in my student's lives. If granted these amazing resources my students will be able to share ideas, work with peers, and acquire new vocabulary. Covid-19 has negatively impacted my student's social and emotional skills. As students engage in these learning activities, they will practice problem solving, teamwork, communication, sharing, and perseverance. I would greatly appreciate your support in guiding my students to success!
