My Students

PreK students are all about playing, hands-on activities, and lots of exploration. Singing, playtime, art projects, and read-aloud stories are some favorite parts of their day. They are thoughtful, engaged, and always eager to come to school.

My students are from Brockton, MA, where 100% qualify for free lunch.

My students come to school for a sense of community, belonging, comfort, and security. I strive to provide a welcoming environment where my students feel safe, encouraged, and loved as they learn through play.

My Project

I am hoping to create a Science Station in my classroom for my PreK students to explore and experiment with. We be able to perform experiments like Walking Water with the paper towels and cups, Color Mixing in the test tubes, and Magnetic or Not with the magnet kits. Different sized and shaped magnets are a great open ended material with so many creative options for children. Test tubes, fun water droppers, the mix and measure kit, and cups can be used by students in our sand and water tables.

Hands-on science activities are the perfect way to get my students engaged in their own learning.

Students love to participate in the experiment themselves! These supplies will allow my PreK students to explore, create and experiment in both teacher created activities and student designed choices.
