This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach science to 90 5th-grade students in Houston, Texas. My school is a Title I school in Houston. My students have been resilient with all of the changes that the last couple of years have brought upon us. Students at my school are super hard-working, smart, motivated, and have bright futures ahead of them. The students here are all artists in one way or another. Our school specializes in visual and performing arts. My 5th graders are always striving to be their best in every aspect. Thank you for taking the time to read about my classroom!

My Project

This Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift card will be used to purchase instructional materials for my 5th grade science classroom. These materials include projects, interactive and hands on lessons, vocabulary supports, and more!

Collectively, these materials will help to close science learning gaps as well as accelerate instruction for advanced learners.

The "Small Group Science Bundle" will be used during small group instruction for learners that who require additional support for academic vocabulary, and language acquisition. The "Science Challenge Projects" resource will be used for students that are ready to move ahead and explore the concepts further.
