Super Readers In Need Of Tools To Sharpen Their Superpowers!
My students need fresh, new, current material to read. They also need general classroom supplies that can be used when working in small groups, partner reading and guided reading.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year I have the amazing opportunity to loop up with my students to the 5th grade. Last year they worked extremely hard to overcome obstacles in reading. At the end of the school year we discussed their plans for "next year" and they came up with a class wide goal to move at least 3 reading levels by the end of the school year. Setting future goals is what makes my students awesome. It shows their hunger for knowledge and appetite for success.
Despite the academic and economic challenges my students face, they have seen first hand that with hard work, they can overcome many obstacles.
As a teacher my ultimate goal is to have my students succeed, be proud of themselves and never give up no matter how hard things may appear.
I'm excited to see what new adventures, goals and experiences my students can accomplish and I'm eager to help pave the way for them.
My Project
My students have been surrounded by the same books for over 2 years now. The Scholastic and Time magazines will give them fresh material to read as well as keep them updated with current events.
The magazines are vibrantly colored and contain topics that peak their interests and engage the readers.
I used them in the classroom last year and the students couldn't wait until the next electronic magazine was available. It would be great if they could own their own printed color magazine.
The classroom supplies will assist them when working with a partner, and/or during small group reading projects, research and presentations.
