This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"It takes a village to raise a child!"

My students are creative, eager, and passionate learners.

They are our future. I teach 25 students who are in Fifth Grade. They have a passion for STEAM and they are critical thinkers.

As a teacher, it is my job to teach to a variety of diverse students who learn in a very different way. My goal is to help students become active in their education so they enjoy learning new ideas and concepts that they can take with them throughout their educational career. Therefore, my mission is to touch the hearts of each student while instilling lifelong learning. I hope to give my students the skills and knowledge necessary for their successful futures as well as instilling eagerness and enthusiasm to know more and to question why. I want them to believe that there is not anything that they cannot do.

My Project

What is better than sitting in a comfy seat and reading your favorite book? Not much! These novels will help continue my student's passion for reading. Both of these novels that I am asking for teach meaningful lessons that can be applied to students' everyday lives. These novels are relatable to upper elementary students as the characters within the books are the same age as them. It is important to keep reading interesting and challenging to maximize student learning and engagement. These novels are top picks by teachers across the world and I would love nothing more for my students (and future students in years to come) to be able to read them!
