Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a Kindergarten class in a high need area of Texas were 80% of my students receive free or reduced lunch.
My students don't have any manipulatives to explore science with in our classroom. My school doesn't provide science books or science center items for my grade, but many of my students have a curiosity in the area of science and the things learned in Kinder are tested on the 5th on TAKS.
We need Science Instant Learning Centers, Science Discovery Chest and science photo cards. These items will be used to teach science in my classroom and for general use by my students in centers. These items will increase my students early knowledge of science and enable them to get some hands on experience with eyedroppers and measuring cups to magnets, magnifiers, thermometers and much more.
Your contributions to my super science project, will make it possible for my students to pursue their interest in science and will pave the way for future scientist, astronauts, doctors and of course school science teachers.
