This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My super learners attend a Title 1 school located in the South West side of Houston, TX. All of my scholars receive free or reduced lunch. They come to school each day, eager, excited, and ready to put on their super learning capes despite the various hardships they face at home and in their communities.
My little super learners are spirited, creative, and full of wonder.
I They love working on vivid, hands-on, challenging, and engaging educational projects. They bravely seek to explore new information and connect their learning to the ever changing world around them. They have each taken the time and effort to conference with me and establish academic/personal goals they wish to accomplish. Each day, they work hard to reach them. I have no doubt they will reach amazing heights in life.
The biggest hindrance they face in reaching their goals lies in their ability to have access to the necessary resources and information that can help support their education.
My Project
The materials will aid in my super learners' academic success. The tablets will support my scholars throughout their daily workstations with independent technology practice as my classroom does not have enough working computers to support a student group of 5 members. The seat sacks will support my scholars in being more organized/help to keep their most handy resources near them. These include reading books, notebooks, and text books. The individual literacy materials will support me during small groups and independent student work stations in providing the most effective instruction/resources to my super learners to help them grasp grade level content and skills.
