This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My diverse readers are so enthusiastic about learning. They enjoy reading all types of books.
Many of my students are struggling readers.
They have difficulty staying on task. They need easy access to books that they'll enjoy reading daily.
Due to covid, movement around the room is limited. So I would like to provide them with easy and quick access to books.
My Project
These materials will help my students have quick access to books from our classroom library. They can use these book totes/sacks to exchange books daily. Also they can take the sacks home with books they can read nightly.
The chart paper we'll need to use daily for writer's workshop.
I'll model the writing process in which my little kiddos need a lot of repetition. We can create books together during interactive writing to model writing conventions. Chart paper in our class is also used to make reading, writing and math charts. These materials will make a difference.

Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
