My Students

These books are extremely popular with my students. They need great books to motivate them to read.

My students live in a high poverty area of Washington state.

My students are smart, funny, and need to be motivated to read. Studies show that interesting literature is the most important component in teaching reading. Kids need to be interested in what they read!

My Project

The books I chose for this project include the Time Soldiers series. These books are hard-cover, extremely popular, action-packed, and are easy to read. The books include beautiful, full-color digitally mastered photographs of dinosaurs, mummies, and samurai! Other books include the popular Arthur series by Marc Brown and the Dragon Slayers Academy series.

Kids need to be interested in what they read in order to really become life-long readers.

Learning to read is extremely important in future success. I want to give my students great books so they can build their futures on a strong foundation.
