My Students
When I went to school, we did not get to do learning centers. In today's classroom, centers are super important for children to have time to explore concepts.
I teach 22 first graders that have a variety of needs and learning styles.
I have special ed kids, almost gifted, and an autistic child as well. Their needs range from well below to well above grade level in both reading and math. My autistic child has many behavioral challenges, but she is very bright and learns quickly.
My Project
My students will use the computer games, puzzles and sequencing activities that I have requested at different centers during reading and math workshop. I will be teaching reading groups or math groups while the other children are making use of our new materials at the computer center, the reading center, or vocabulary center.
These materials are super important to the success of my students because if they are not actively engaged with the materials at centers, then they are really wasting learning time.
I want to maximize their learning each and every day that they are with me. Please consider supporting the project.
