My Project
Many of my students come to school each day carrying more than just their backpacks. For some, that means not having access to basic hygiene essentials like deodorant, toothpaste, hair ties, or even clean socks. These small needs can have a big impact, affecting confidence, focus, and overall well-being in the classroom.
That’s why I’m creating a Sunshine Shelf, a safe, discreet space in our classroom where students can take what they need, when they need it.
No questions asked. From hygiene products to small comfort items like clothing or snacks, and uplifting notes, this shelf will be a reminder that they are seen, supported, and cared for.
When students feel clean and confident, they’re better able to learn, participate, and grow. Your support will help me stock the shelf with items that meet real daily needs and create a more inclusive, empowering environment for every child.
