My Students
I am a first year teacher in a Title I School. I have my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and I am currently pursuing my graduate degree in Elementary Education.
So far I have had students who come to school with extreme struggles and are far behind on the developmental ladder.
Students are just that, students, they're kids who need assistance and guidance from adults. Adults that they look up to for help. Adults like me who need to be able to work hard to make sure that I can give them every opportunity possible. The only way I can do that is to learn more, strive for success, plan for the most amazing lessons that I could dream of. I need your help in making this possible.
My Project
I intend to use this professional development to further my learning within my school and my classroom. I want to create a space that cultivates creativity in the classroom. Students need creativity to solve problems.
I intend to create a classroom of learners today that can solve tomorrow's problems.
I plan to do this by taking the professional development back to my classroom and implementing it given the resources and the materials. I want to work to expand this learning in my classroom and apply any adaptations needed. The students will benefit from this for years to come. This is something that the students will take with them and it's something that I can work to improve over time.
