This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school year ends, many of my students face the summer without access to necessities they regularly receive at school. For some, these essentials are not always available at home. During the year, we help meet these daily needs, but over the summer, that support is sometimes hard to find.

That’s why I’m creating **Summer Survival Kits**—care packages filled with items that will help my students stay clean, healthy, and cared for during the break.

Each kit will include:

- Toothbrushes and toothpaste

- Hair brushes and combs

- Lotion and sunscreen

- Lip balm

- Baby wipes

- Bandaids

- Socks

- A couple of fun toys for play and joy

- And other small essentials to support them through the summer

These kits are more than just supplies—they’re a gesture of love and care that reminds my students that someone is thinking of them, even when school is out. Your support will help give them a healthier, more comfortable summer.
