My Students
These are unprecedented times. Never did I imagine that when my students and I said goodbye in March it would mean that it was our last day in the classroom. However, the year is not over yet!
My students and I have embarked on the distance learning journey!
We are actively engaging in all sorts of different online platforms and learning new things. My students and I participate twice a week in Google Meet meetings to go over new material, and to check in with each other. In addition, I am recording lessons at home for them to view and continue to learn new material. I am amazed by their level of engagement and participation, and families' willingness to try new things.
My Project
On Friday, March 13, I said goodbye to my second grade students for the last time (unknowingly) due to COVID-19 school closures. They will have missed out on 2 and 1/2 months of learning because of this, so I would love to give them a practice book to keep them learning prior to starting third grade.
Not only did my students miss out on the last two months of classroom learning, but they missed out on a time of end-of-year fun and growth!
My kids deserve to go into third grade ready to rock!
