This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students learn throughout the year! They attend school from Sept to June and then Summer School from July to Aug! It's non-stop learning for them! During the school year, lunch is typically 50 minutes. However, during the Summer it's only 30 minutes. The students do not have much time to eat their lunch. The Summer lunch schedule is split into 2 periods. Once their lunch period is over, the other session starts.

The snacks and juices I am requesting will be able to give the students some fuel to keep them focused to learn and also used for trips as well.

During Summer School, we like to take the students out of the building and enjoy the weather and the beautiful places NY has to offer. In the city, the food is a little bit too expensive, so they get a snack to hold them up until we come back to school and order pizza! Who doesn't love a snack before pizza!??
