My Students
I am currently a fully self-contained preschool special education teacher in a Title I elementary school in Hawaii. More than half of my students are from low income families. I have preschool students with various disabilities and delays including autism, fine motor, gross motor, speech/communication, behavior management, social emotional needs developmental delays and medically fragile.
My students are full of energy, loving, caring, spirited and eager to learn group.
My Project
Summer is just around the corner and coming fast.
This school year, I have been sending home activities that center around my students Individual Education Plan.
I plan lessons are based on various themes such as plants, transportation and zoo animals. Parents tell me they have enjoyed the activities and especially the activities that revolve around the book sent home, lesson activities and the art projects. I would like to continue to provide lessons for the summer that revolve around the theme ocean. I would like summer learning to be fun and enjoyable for my students as well as their parents.
I would like to provide my students with books purchased through Amazon and activities created through Teacher Pay Teacher to continue learning through the summer. I would also like to purchase laminating sheets, glue, various types of paper and a binder to store their activities and art projects. It will be a learning binder and a binder full of memories created by parents and their child.
