My students LOVE to read. With your help, they can continue reading over the summer!

I am the lucky teacher of 28 second graders.

My students come from more than ten different countries and speak 14 different home languages! My school focuses on immigrant, refugee, and neighborhood students. Over 85% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. My students deserve high quality materials and experiences, which are often denied to them due to home and school budget issues. You can help give them the high quality educational experiences they deserve.

My Project

Readers know that the greatest gift is a brand new book. This project will give each of my students TWO new books for their home library collections. Books open the world to children allowing them to visit places and feel things they would otherwise not experience. This project will help my students spend summer days wrapped up in the joy of reading. My students will be reading A Chocolate Moose for Dinner, Henry & Mudge & Wild Wind, The Magic Fish, Bad Case of Stripes David Shannon, David Shannon (Illustrator), Caps for Sale, Frederick, and Ramona Quimby, Age 8.

Please help my students continue their love of reading.

The gift of these books may be the only new book my students get this summer. Your generosity will put two brand new books into the hands of twenty eight incredible students.
