Help me give my students the opportunity to enhance their summer learning. I feel that the items I have listed above will improve their fine-motor skills and boost their creativity.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergarteners are full of energy and have a love of learning. They enjoy doing hands-on activities, and I am constantly trying to find ways to make learning fun for them. My school is a Title I school. I teach an Inclusion program where my learners vary in skills and abilities. The divide this year is greater due to the fact that they were remote for portions of the year as a result of COVID-19. My students love to come to school, have fun and learn. They are excited by the tiniest things in our classroom, and make every day a great day in kindergarten. This was a very challenging year and they did such an amazing job. I am so proud of them.
My Project
These art materials will help my students retain their fine-motor abilities over the summer. They will be able to produce wonderful projects while benefiting from the sensory activities and increasing their creativity and wonder.
I chose high-interest activities from Amazon Business that involve movement, fine-motor skills and the use of their imaginations, all of which will enhance their learning skills.
I am so excited to see their faces light up when I get to give them these wonderful materials. I know this will help my students continue to thrive over the summer and be better prepared for first grade.
