This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Do you remember when playtime was always the best thing about kindergarten? Well, my students need summer fun materials to build their imagination and to expand their vocabulary.

My kindergarten children are wonderful kids who come from all different countries.

Many of the children live in poverty with extended families. This is their first exposure to English and it is a very important time for them. The children are eager to learn and participate in many activities.

The children will be able to spend many hours playing when school is over. Summer vacation is long and the children need ways to occupy their free time. The sand pails, bubbles, and coloring books will help foster a child's love of playing and sharing ideas with new friends.

These materials will be used year after year and touch so many children's lives. Please help and encourage children to learn English and make friends!
