Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The summer camp class will focus on design and production, allowing students to explore the creative process by designing their own projects and using technology to bring their ideas to life. With the Cricut Maker, a cutting machine designed for crafters, designers, and hobbyists, students will be able to create a wide range of projects such as personalized t-shirts, posters, cards, jewelry, and more. The camp will teach fundamentals.

This camp will Inspire creativity by Providing students with the tools and resources to design and produce their own projects, fostering creativity and self-expression.

This will help students understand the basic principles of design, including color theory, layout, typography, and graphic design.

Exposing students to innovative tools like the Cricut Maker will encouraging them to explore careers in design, engineering, and technology.

This will Engage students in active, hands-on learning by allowing them to create tangible items from their designs.

By providing this cutting-edge technology to my students, this grant will help build critical skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking. These experiences will not only give students a sense of accomplishment but also inspire them to pursue further studies in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). The hands-on projects they create will build their confidence and help them discover new interests that could shape their academic and career paths in the future.

The cart is needed since, it is not my room where this will take please. It will have to be set aside and out of the way for the main classroom.
