Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students live in South Texas in a small town called Progreso, Texas. Progreso is a city with a population of 5,507 and has a high poverty rate. Most of my students come from a low socioeconomic background. On March 24th, the Rio Grande Valley endured severe weather that affected so many of my students. Despite the challenges they experienced outside of school, they still show up with a smile on their face, ready to learn.

I want to be able to reward my students with these items that I know will bring them excitement and will help them continue learning and exploring after the school year, while giving them an opportunity to continue improving their fine motor skills development.

My students have shown so much growth in all subjects (Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies).

Please help me end their first-grade year with these fun-filled, memorable buckets!
